Reflexology is a wonderful therapy. It feels profoundly relaxing and, when used in the right way, can help the body recover from a wide range of conditions.
It is one of the oldest forms of complementary therapy with roots in ancient Eygpt, China & India. It is based on the theory that there are micro-systems on the feet, hands and face that connect to all aspects of our bodies. By massaging specific points on the feet, hands or face, one can affect corresponding parts of the body. Amazing!
A Reflexologist feels for areas of sensitivity or deposits on the feet, hands or face that indicate potential weaknesses and causes of problems in the body. By massaging through these areas, it is possible to help the body recover.
To celebrate ‘World Reflexology Week’ I am offering a course of 4 Reflexology treatments for the price of 3! The sessions should ideally be taken once a week and full payment for the full course of treatments (£120, saving of £40) is due upon initially booking. Please get in touch if you are interested as spaces are limited!
It may be small and bijoux, but my cosy little therapy room, tucked away in the eaves of Ash Cottage delivers wellbeing in abundance for those looking to retreat away for an hour or two and experience healing, soul soothing treatments.
During my treatments I teach my clients how to breathe deeply into the abdomen, this technique has been proven to quieten the mind, detox the cells and release tension throughout the whole of the body. I also use sound healing through each session; sound waves are the medicine of the future, with oscillating vibrations running through each organ, tissue and cell. The power of touch enhanced by using a beautiful edit of curated, holistic skincare, full of wild crafted essential oils, probiotics and crystals takes my bespoke facials and body therapy to a higher state of wellness…
Since moving to Ash Cottage 8 years ago, coming home has always felt like a therapy to me…Whether it’s the abundance of greenery surrounding the house, being nestled in the woods, all cool and languid in the summer heat, or sitting out looking over the fields, the home to several horses gently grazing all day long. I would find it hard to live anywhere else.
Many of my clients’ see this little slice of the Cotswolds as their ‘retreat’. Indulging in a beautiful facial or de-stressing with a long, slow massage, with a wellbeing retreat vibe to boot really adds to the experience they say, which is wonderful to hear. For me, adding extra layers of sensory stimulation to a therapy is so important, and one that I strive to make special for each and every person I treat.
From the deep inhalations and breath work, using the purest essences to stimulate the memory-evoking limbic system, to the koshi chime sound healing at the end, it all adds up to ensure the best experience for each and every therapy.

When I first used this product I was unsure about it, it seemed messier than one of my 4 year old’s mud kitchen sessions, and that’s saying something… But, I perservered, used less water, applied onto wet palms and spent time working the precious powder into a soft mousse-like paste. Now after using it in my Wellbeing Face Treatment and seeing the results it brings, I’m a convert…
This is an ultimate skin fixer, a superfood powder for the face containing healing clays, plant and gem extracts to smooth and polish skin to reveal its natural radiance and glow. The wonderfully delicate rose aroma encourages deep breaths and relaxation. I love the fact that it can be used to cleanse and doubles up as an exfoliant mask that can be left on for a little longer to boost effectiveness.
This week in my treatment retreat, I have had a ‘Facial Focus’ and all of my clients have left with a glow and radiance that this potent multi-tasker creates.

Following the abundance of sunshine over last weekend’s Bank Holiday, I found I needed to really focus on deeply cleansing and exfoliating my skin after wearing all the extra layers of SPF protection. This coupled with perspiration and daily grime from running around after my twin girls, meant it was such a treat to soak in a hot tub with de Mamiel’s skincare concoctions working their magic on me!
The sun makes us all feel so good but let’s be honest, it’s the number 1 enemy in terms of skin ageing. It got me thinking about a skin health incentive for all of my clients, so next week I’m focusing on facials, and in support of this I’m offering a 20% discount on my Wellbeing Face Treatment, (normally £50 for 1 hour) a sublime ritual that includes deep cleansing masks, nourishing serums and balms, with foot acupressure and a de-stress scalp therapy included..
Treatment slots are available on: Monday 14th May or Thursday 17th May
